The difference between aromatherapy machine and humidifier

People have formed a preference to place some aroma diffusers or humidifiers that can adjust the indoor environment in the room. However, people often confuse these two appliances, which raises a question-what is the difference between an aroma diffuser and a humidifier?

Aroma diffusers and humidifiers may look similar, but in fact, they are different:

1. Purpose

The main difference between an aroma diffuser and a humidifier is that both devices are designed for different purposes. The purpose of using the aroma diffuser is to distribute essential oils in the room to ensure that the aroma of the house is maintained and the needs of users are met.

On the other hand, the purpose of a humidifier is to control the humidity in the room and prevent the air from drying out. Dry air can cause many uncomfortable health problems, such as dry skin, dry sinuses, coughing and chapped lips. Humidifiers prevent these problems by eliminating moisture and dry air.

2. Water tank size

Most humidifiers are equipped with a larger water tank than an aroma diffuser to more effectively deal with the problem of dry air. It is necessary to install a large water tank on the humidifier to increase the humidity of the entire room. The humidifier water tank can store 4L of water or even more. In contrast to humidifiers, aroma diffusers can hold up to 1000 ml of water.

However, the design of most aroma diffusers does not require the use of large amounts of water, because it only needs to disperse essential oils in your room, not water.

3. Operation method

Aromatherapy machine and humidifier work differently. These two devices use very different methods to disperse water/essential oils in the room.

The humidifier uses a nozzle to provide humidity, while the diffuser uses more advanced ultrasonic vibration, which breaks the essential oil particles into tiny essential oil particles, which are then combined with the mist in the water tank and sprayed into the air.

4. Maintenance

Because the aromatherapy machine needs to change the water and essential oils at any time, the water tank is simple and easy to clean. The humidifier basically has a designed water tank, so the internal structure is complicated and cleaning is difficult.
